What is worship like at Fifth Avenue?

At Fifth Avenue, worship is “traditional.” And yet, over time, you would notice that we use a wide variety of music in worship. We sing hymns accompanied by organ. We sing praise songs accompanied by a praise band. We try new music, we belt old standards. We offer opportunities for participation and sometimes experience the Bible or message through media. Each week is a bit different. Each week is a bit the same. Always, we worship God and come away filled, inspired, challenged, and transformed.

The first Sunday of each month, we celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion. The United Methodist Church practices an “open table,” meaning that we believe it’s Jesus’ table, not ours, and that he offers God’s grace to all people. All are welcome to receive Communion.
