Holy Saturday/Sunrise/Easter Bulletins
Family & Friends, greetings to each and every one of you from God our loving heavenly Father and our living Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I hope and pray you are holding up well and are keeping safe in the midst of this new thing we are experiencing right now.
Welcome to Holy Saturday. Holy Saturday commemorates the day that Jesus Christ lay in the tomb after his death, according to the Christian bible. It is the day after Good Friday and the day before Easter Sunday. It is a day of both sadness and joy among Christians in many cultures.
Holy Saturday is the last day of Holy Week and ends the season of Lent. It is also known as the Vigil of Easter. The day is traditionally a time of reflection and waiting.
Tonight, we invite you to gather in our virtual worship service as we explore “Holy Saturday, The Day In-Between.”
We pray to rise early tomorrow morning and witness once again, the tomb is empty, as we “Celebrate the Rising of the Son, S-O-N!
With a hearty joyous appetite, we will enjoy a Sunrise Breakfast.
“The Explosive Power of the Resurrection” will be our focus for our Easter/Resurrection Worship Service followed by Holy Communion.
Sisters and Brothers of our risen Savior, this global pandemic will not stop 5th Avenue United Methodist Church from celebrating together this most important day in our Christian lives.
“Ideally, church family and friends, we would all be physically together, but this year it’s just not responsible or safe. As our spirits are joined as we meet online, remember the Good News – the resurrection of Jesus, the Easter message,is timeless and applies to everyone. It’s a message of hope and victory.
Come just as you are, as we nearing the end of an unforgettable 2020 Holy Week and Resurrection Sunday. All are welcome!
