Pentecost Sunday Devotional

Good morning Followers of Christ,

Welcome to 5th Ave. United Methodist Church Pentecost Sunday Worship!

We’re so glad and thankful you’re here!

Today is Pentecost Sunday which is a significant day to remember and appreciate in the history of the church.  The word “Pentecost” basically means “50”, and is doubly significant when one realizes that the Holy Spirit was poured out upon those early believers who were waiting in the upper room as they waited in obedience and expectancy.

John 13:12 – “He loved them to the end.”  The Holy Spirit finishes the work that Jesus started in us.

From “it is finished” to “perfect love.” (1 John 4:12, 17).  Care for each other (1 John 4:20)  Finish what the Holy Spirit started (1 John 4:17)

Come let us worship together!
