8th Sunday After Pentecost – Devotional
Good morning Siblings of Christ,
God calls us to gather for worship on this Eighth Sunday after Pentecost.
A Matter of the Heart – “Mirror & Window People”
If I look out a window, I see the world outside of where I’m standing; to whatever happens to pass through the frame, to beyond me. If I look into my mirror though, well, all I’m ever able to see is myself.
May we strive to see and reflect Jesus with a clarity that changes everything, and everyone.
Have mercy, O God, upon your humble servants, who are not always humble or always faithful, but whatever state we are in, we belong to you. We are gladly yours and pray now that your tenderheartedness be turned in our direction and that your word shine as a light to illumine our way, for the sake of Christ our Lord. Amen.
Come, let us worship and praise God together!
