Pastor Hae-Jeong
Pastor Hae-Jeong was born and raised in Korea. She studied Musicology, English Literature, and Pedagogy in Koeln, Germany, where she earned a master’s degree in Musicology. She then went on to complete a Ph. D. in Osnabrueck, Germany, with a dissertation on "Probabilistic and Fractal Module in Algorithmic Composition."
In 2001, she was called by the Lord and began studying theology at Dubuque Theological
Seminary. After completing two years of study, she moved to California and finished her
education at the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, earning a Master of Divinity Degree in
2010. She also worked as a CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) at California Pacific Medical Center and became certified as a professional Chaplain. In 2015, she began working as a Local Pastor, and in 2018, she was ordained as an Elder Pastor at the California-Nevada Conference. She completed the Academy of Spiritual Formation, a three-year course.
In 2021, she relocated to Wisconsin and transferred to the Wisconsin Conference in June 2024.
She is described as a passionate preacher, skilled teacher, gifted musician, and dedicated prayer warrior. -

Aimee B. Liepert
For most of her adult life, Aimee worked for nonprofit organizations in Milwaukee and Mequon. Recently, she felt a change was needed for her and her family to get a position closer to home. Alana heard her prayers and knew Aimee would be a good fit to replace her after serving in this position for 50 years. Aimee feels beyond blessed with the path our Lord has placed her on. Aimee looks forward to serving God, the church family, and the greater West Bend Community.

Deanna Gibeau (Pianist + Organist)
- Deanna’s favorite thing in the world (well, right up there with chocolate) is to support others in their singing and music-making. She has played organ and piano since a very young age and loves the joy and community of singing together. She holds a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Mannes College in New York City.

Dave Bertelsen (Choir Director)
- Dave has been the director of 5th Avenue’s Chancel Choir for forty years. He taught vocal music in the Kewaskum School District and received his undergrad and Master’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Go Badgers!) He is involved with numerous musical groups in the community including the EcuMen, an ecumenical men’s choir. Blessed with eight grandchildren, Dave and his wife Polly enjoy time with them and also like to travel.

Jean Krell (Volunteer Coordinator)
- Jean Krell recruits people to fill various roles for the Sunday morning worship service. She also recruits people to help with special events and other ministries.

- Aleah Latham (Technology Intern)
- Aleah is attending Purdue University majoring in Biomedical Health Sciences on the Pre-PA track. She has been a part of the Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church family since she was born 18 years ago. She looks forward to continuing to grow her faith and helping her community with/through God's word.
