Thank God for Sisterhood.

I Corinthians 12:12, 14 “For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also, is Christ . . . For the body is not one member, but many.”

How is this possible? Because when we place our trust in Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, we are adopted into God’s family!

Painfully, not all relationships will be long-lasting, nor years in the making. Some friendships will feel like forever when it’s only been one week. Some will last a short period of time but leave a lasting impact. Sisterhood comes in all forms, and I’ve grown to hold onto each one of them.

“But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God” Ruth 1:16, NIV.

As Christian women, we have a tremendous opportunity to impact the lives of those women around us, with love, support, encouragement, words of wisdom and compassion. To have a true love for sisterhood is a beautiful thing.

SISTERHOOD CAN BE DIFFERENT FOR US ALL, BUT HOW WE DIGEST IT MUST BE WITH LOVE, GRATITUDE, AND UTTER APPRECIATION FOR THE GIFT IT TRULY IS.

Sisterhood. It’s long-term bonds and short-term ones. It’s love and light and everything in between. It’s the good times and the bad. It’s authenticity and genuineness and vulnerability.

IT’S A DIVINE CONNECTION.

Lord Jesus, thank You for the blessing of Sisters. Thank You for my Sisters in the body of Christ.  Truly, they are sisters in blood – Your blood.  They are sisters in my family – the family of Christ.  Thank You for the kinship of believers.  Thank You for the fellowship that is only made possible by the grace and forgiveness that is ours in Christ.

On this Mother’s Day, I pray that our Risen Savior always help us to lead by example and I pray that we are able, through Christ, to impact the lives of those around me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Gratefully in Christ,

Pastor Clarissa
