Blessings on this Communion Sunday,

(Read - 1 Peter 2:9)

God has made us for Himself that we might delight in Him through worship. Just think—He has called us “out of darkness into his wonderful light,” and He tells us that He inhabits, or lives in, the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). Amazing! Worship drives us to deepen our knowing Him personally and then to make Him known to others. As our love for Him grows, so does our admiration of Him.

Scripture tells us that worship is our highest priority. King David’s greatest desire was to worship God. “One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek…to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple” (Psalm 27:4). As we worship, His presence is evident. Through the sounds of music or the tenderness of tears flowing from the heart, through the preaching of His Word, or in the time of offering, there He is.

Worship may surely extend beyond Sunday church services. Whenever your heart is moved, worship Him, proclaiming, “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power” (Revelation 4:11).

Come, people of God!

Let us sing the praises of the One who has called us out of darkness into his marvelous light!

For once we were not a people at all, but now we are God’s people!

Let’s worship God together.
