Seventh Sunday after Epiphany

by Clarissa Martinelli on February 20, 2022

Good morning Light of Christ bearers,

On this windy Sunday morning, my favorite inspirational poems come to mind:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness
that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God." Marianne Williamson

This morning as we gather with our candles burning bright to worship, celebrate Holy Communion, welcome our Confirmands to in-person Sunday School and Confirmation 2022, and have
Listening Sessions (see flyer below) this week regarding our Outdoor Hospitality Mission Project; "Let your light shine before humanity, that. they may see your good works, and. glorify your Father who is in heaven.
We hope you will join us in-person or via Zoom for our three Listening Sessions as we eagerly move forward to "Invite" and "Welcome" people by summer through this project.

We received a prayer request from Rev. Jon Bartlett for his wife, Rev. Jean Bartlett.  Rev. Jean had brain surgery this week for a tumor; postoperatively, she had a seizure.
Rev. Jon is very distressed. He asks and needs our prayers of miraculous healing, restoration and strength .

Let us pray together: Heavenly Father, our Great Physician, look upon Rev. Jean with eyes of mercy. May Your healing hand rest upon her, may Your life-giving powers flow
into every cell of her body and into the depths of her soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring Rev. Jean to wholeness and strength for service in Your Kingdom.
Be near Rev. Jean and Rev. Jon in this season of weakness and pain; sustain them by your grace, that their strength and courage may not fail. Give them and us
such confidence in the power of your grace, that even when they and we are afraid, we will put our whole trust in you. It is the precious name of our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Cards and emails of  comfort, healing and care can be sent to:

Putting all our trust, cares and concerns in the merciful hand of our Triune God, we say...Amen!
