Dear friends and family of Fifth Avenue Church,
Last Sunday we couldn't gather for our worship service because of heavy rain and flash flooding in our community! It felt like Wisconsin was experiencing Korea's summer season; this type of rain continues for a month! I hope this email finds you well in the midst of the rain and sunshine!
Next Wednesday, August 20th, at 6:00 p.m., we will hold Intergenerational Family Night. It will take place in Fellowship Hall with a Spaghetti Dinner, fun and games! I hope we get to know each other a little more personally in relaxation. Please invite your friends and your family members. We will have a cornhole board, giant jenga and balloon volleyball. If you have a table game you enjoy playing, feel free to bring it.
The theme of this week is Worship. Worship is a familiar theme. Is it right? Worship flows from the love in your heart. It is so intimate, beyond words, and it has a transformative power. It touches all your being. When we worship our Lord as a community of faith, something happens in our lives. Let's wait for a powerful presence of God in our worship space!
