Dear Church,

Yesterday, we distributed ashes to mark the beginning of the forty-day Lenten season. Ash Wednesday serves as a powerful reminder of our mortality and our nature as finite, sinful beings. It calls us to live lives aligned with eternal values, recognizing that only what is eternal will remain with us.

This coming Sunday, we will focus on finding rest for our souls. We live in a world that glorifies perpetual productivity, where taking time off can feel counterintuitive or even lazy. Many of us feel weary and tired. During our service, we will explore what the Bible says about the rest.

Lenten Blessings,
Pastor Hae-Jeong
