Good Friday - March 29, 2024

by Clarissa Martinelli on March 29, 2024

Welcome, Lenten sojourners.
Holy Week is the most significant week in Christianity. Spanning from Palm Sunday to Holy Saturday, it marks the final stretch before Easter Sunday, the celebration of Jesus' Resurrection. During this sacred week Catholics pray and reflect on the profound journey of Jesus’ suffering, sacrifice, and victory over death.
It starts on Palm Sunday, a day that commemorates Jesus' entry into Jerusalem. Holy Thursday celebrates the Last Supper and the institution of the Eucharist while Good Friday reflects on Jesus’ death by crucifixion. Throughout this week, Christians reflect on the emotional intensity of Jesus' Passion, contemplate His boundless love and mercy, and anticipate the joyous hope of His Resurrection.
An intentional Holy Week serves as a spiritual pilgrimage that deepens our faith.
To the glory of God,
Pastor Clarissa
REBOOT – EASTER OFFERING
Mighty God of Resurrection and Redemption, we offer our gifts alongside our alleluias! We offer our hands and feet and voices to take the celebration out of this place into a world that needs hope so desperately! May we go into the world with such energy, excitement, and power that the ground shakes once again, that lightning flashes, and that people see in us your redeeming love and the triumph of light over darkness! In the name of the risen Christ, we pray. Amen.
Perpetual happiness comes when we, gathered as believers, offer gifts and receive Jesus. We are filled with the goodness of the Holy Spirit. Sometimes, it is good to be reminded of how special God thinks we are.
Open our hearts and minds to your abundance grace so that we might be good stewards of Your gifts!
As faithful stewards teach us to receive Your gifts gratefully, nurture them responsibly, share them selflessly, and return them to You with increase, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Gratefully in Christ.
