July 10

Welcome to my New Appointment,

The sankofa symbolizes the Akan people’s quest for knowledge with the implication that the quest is based on critical examination, and intelligent and patient investigation.
The Akans believe that there must be movement and new learning as time passes. As this forward march proceeds, the knowledge of the past must never be forgotten.

As Pastor and People, we humbly begin our 7TH year of ministry here at Fifth Ave. United Methodist Church. May the Almighty God the lifter of our souls lift you and I up and
continue to reign in our life till eternity. We praise and honor Almighty God who has allowed us to celebrate the beginning of our 7th season of ministry and unity.

From the Seven Days of Genesis to the Seven Seals of Revelation, Scripture is saturated with the Number Seven. All Bible Scholars have recognized its special symbolic significance.
God laid the foundation of its meaning when He introduced the number SEVEN.

May I humbly seize this opportunity to thank all the great men and women of God of the Fifth Ave. UMC Family who have worked relentlessly with me to keep the passionate work of
God going in this community. My Heavenly Father will pay you abundantly and we shall not be found wanting in His Kingdom.

Your humbly Shepherd,

Rev. Clarissa and Bro. Martin Martinelli
