Dear Friends and Family of FAUMC,
We are pleased to invite you to our Ecumenical Worship Service next Wednesday. This service is a wonderful opportunity for our community to gather, and all offerings collected will support a local non-profit organization. Following the service, our women’s group will provide a meal of soup, oyster crackers, dinner rolls, homemade cookies, coffee, lemonade and water. We are deeply grateful for their hard work and dedication.
Additionally, our theme for this Sunday’s service is "The Timing of God." We live in a world where speed is often prioritized and highly valued. However, I wanted to share a reflection that God’s timing does not always align with this pace. We will explore the concept of Kairos (sacred time) and how it differs from Chronos (chronological time). If you love God, you will be pleased with the will of God for you. Trusting in God’s timing is a vital part of our faith. We will explore how to navigate periods of waiting and discuss ways to accelerate God’s timing. We encourage you to bring your curiosity and love for the Lord as we learn together.
