Dear friends and family of Fifth Avenue UMC,
Yesterday, we had the largest gathering of the Fifth Avenue Neighborhood Table. Our dedicated volunteer team was very busy preparing food, welcoming guests, guiding, and greeting everyone. It’s heartwarming to witness our exceptional cook, Tom Rogers. He was serving the Lord in the kitchen with his professional cooking skills and genuine care for others. His warmth and kindness radiate through his actions, even without words.
I want to invite our church family to join us at the neighborhood table to meet our neighbors who often come there with hunger and a longing for connection. Let’s be their source of comfort and support by becoming friends with them, offering them a warm, and kind heart. Sharing our lives with them can also lead to meaningful friendships. It was truly a blessed evening.
The theme of this week is “Table of Joy.” Jesus wanted to give us His joy that He shares with the community of triune God. What could it mean to our lives? Are you curious about the life of triune God? Come and worship our awesome God!
Grace and Joy,
Pastor Hae-Jeong
