Dear Family and Friends of FAUMC,
We are truly enjoying beautiful weather!
By opening your heart and mind widely, you are able to enjoy more beauty!
Linda, our Fifth Ave Neighborhood Table Team Member, wrote about the bakery items you can donate in the October Newsletter. We want to offer bakery items for our guests to enjoy beforehand or to take with them for the following days. This request is based on a need several guests brought to our attention. We are asking for your help with homemade or store-bought bakery items (cookies, bars, desserts, sweet goods, bread, etc.). Bakery items may be dropped off in Fellowship Hall by 2pm on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month that Neighborhood Table is held, or the day before.
This week's theme continues with the series Beguiled by Beauty. It is about the mystery, abyss and wonder of God. It refers to the incomprehensible vastness and unfathomable nature of the divine, which is beyond human understanding and can only be grasped through awe, faith, and personal experience rather than logic alone. This concept involves God being both infinitely distant and intimately present. What meaning does this concept of God give to our lives? It gives us great comfort in the midst of our lives that we do not know our future at all. How? This will be our discussion this week.
Many Blessings,
Pastor Hae-Jeong
